FINANCE DIRECTOR (POSTED 5/19/2026)
The City of Proctor is seeking a Finance Director to provide leadership in managing the City’s financial operations and supporting long-term fiscal stability. This position oversees all aspects of municipal finance, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, audits, payroll, investments, cash management, tax levies, and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements.
Over the past three years, the City successfully transitioned from the Banyon financial platform to the cloud-based Caselle financial system. The conversion is fully implemented and operational, with staff fully trained and experienced in the new system, providing a strong foundation for continued efficiency, modernization, and streamlined financial operations. The City also maintains an updated capital improvement plan and continues to prioritize strategic financial planning and infrastructure investment.
The Finance Director works closely with the City Administrator, City Council, and Public Utilities Commission, providing financial analysis and recommendations that support informed decision-making and responsible stewardship of public funds. This role assists with annual budgeting, audit preparation, and financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls across departments.
The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to staff, elected officials, and the public.
Salary range is $93,000–$125,000.
