SUMMARY:Proctor Local Board of Equalization Meeting
DESCRIPTION:A Local Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting is a public meeting where property owners can contest the assessed value of their property. \n\n\nEach city or township holds this meeting annually\, usually in the spring. \n\n\nThe board reviews property valuations to ensure they are fair and equitable compared to similar properties. \n\n\nProperty owners can appear in person or submit a written request to appeal if they believe their property is overvalued. \n\n\nThe board can adjust assessments if they determine the value is incorrect. \n\n\nIt’s essentially a way to ensure property taxes are based on fair market value. \n  \nOFFICIAL MEETING POSTING (3/12/2026)\nCITY OF PROCTOR \nImportant Information Regarding Assessment and Classification of Property. \nThis may affect your 2027 property tax payments. \nNotice is hereby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization of the City of Proctor shall meet on Tuesday\, April 7\, 2026\, 10:00 am – 11:00 am\, at Proctor Area Community Center 100 Pionk Drive Proctor\, MN.
